Kim’s experience includes more than 35 years accounting and information technology experience in public accounting and industry. A 1974 graduate of the University of Florida, Kim is a CPA licensed in Florida and Mississippi and holds the CITP designation from the AICPA. He has served at the executive levels in public and private companies in the accounting/finance and information technology organizations where served as a CFO and CIO.
Kim provides an in-depth knowledge in a variety of industries including construction, finance and banking, hospitality, real estate, manufacturing, medical, retail, not-for-profit and service organizations. He has served as a Receiver as appointed by the courts, audited large banking receiverships and lead multiple implementations of large and small information systems.
He serves on several committees for the Florida Institute of CPA’s. Kim is a member and past Chairman of the University of Florida Accounting Conference Committee, was the past Vice-Chair of the FICPA Technology Conference Committee, was a member of the FICPA Accounting and Auditing Standards and Business Technology Sections and is a member of and recently appointed Resource Council member of the Valuation, Forensic Accounting, and Litigation Services Section.
In addition, Kim was a member of the Board of Directors Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) from 2003 to 2009. For several years, he chaired its Technology Committee and was a member of its Finance Committee.
Kim has also served on advisory development boards for Oracle and other software development companies. He has been published in national IT and accounting magazines and been asked repeatedly to speak at national IT conferences on topics such as IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley and the use of technology to deliver financial and operational information.
Kim has been a member of the FICPA since 1985 and of the BIZTECH Section since 2001. Kim is the FY 2009-10 BIZTECH Section Steering Committee Chair.
