Patricia G. “Tracey” Sellers

Tracey Sellers is a Managing Director in the Tampa State and Local Tax Practice at True Partners Consulting. Tracey joined the firm in 2006 and has over eighteen years experience in state and local taxation. Tracey specializes in transactional type taxes but continues to work with clients in the area of income and franchise taxes, intangible personal property taxes and unclaimed property.

Prior to joining True Partners Consulting, Tracey spent 6 years working in the State and Local Practice of Arthur Andersen, 4 years in the tax department of Deloitte Tax and eight years with the Florida Department of Revenue as a state tax auditor.

Tracey successfully completed a variety of state tax projects including working with external and internal auditors for exposure quantification, reverse sales and use tax audits, numerous audit defense/protests and penalty abatement proceedings as well as negotiating agreements with government officials. In addition, Tracey has worked with companies to design and implement sales tax compliance systems as well as having conducted system studies to verify correct reporting of sales and use taxes.

Tracey is a certified Vertex TDM Specialist, has spoken at numerous industry as well as national state tax seminars as well as designed and taught several courses in the area of state and local taxation.

Tracey is a graduate of Florida State University where she received a B.S. in Accounting. She is a certified member of the Sales and Use Tax Section of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, has been a member of the FICPA and the Florida State Tax Section since 2002, a member of the FST Section FY 2008-09 Steering Committee and serves as the Chair of the FST Conference.
