The FICPA has created this resource area to help CPAs and consumers prepare for hurricanes and other disasters and assist in disaster recovery by providing information for CPA volunteers, CPAs and consumers and the media with general and accounting-related disaster resources. Click on the links to the right to view disaster preparation and recovery resources.

CPA Resources

The CPA area is designed to help CPA professionals quickly find what they need.

Tax Forms and Reference Sections for Federal and State includes links to specific tax codes, news about any tax filing extensions that have been granted and links to forms needed to claim casualty losses.

AICPA/Red Cross/NEFE Disasters and Financial Planning: A Guide for Preparedness is a comprehensive guide about disaster preparedness.

Business Disaster Loans, Handbooks and Resources includes links to Small Business Administration disaster loans and a business-recovery handbook specifically written for the industry.

News links and other Hurricane Resource Pages provides important business disaster-recovery resources.

Questions and Answers provides additional information about disaster preparedness.

Consumer/Victim Resources

The Consumer/Victims area includes links to state and national disaster-recovery resources and information about disaster preparedness and recovery including the AICPA/Red Cross/NEFE Disasters and Financial Planning: A Guide for Preparedness, state and federal tax forms, disaster related news and when needed information about the FICPA’s Hurricane Help Line, which in the event of a disaster, will provide victims with a referral to a CPA volunteer who can assist them with filing insurance claims and casualty losses on their income tax returns as well as with cash-flow planning and other services.

News Media Resources

The News Media area includes FICPA staff and volunteer contact information so the media can reach member CPAs who are making a difference in their communities. It also includes press releases and public service announcements about the services the FICPA and its members provide to disaster victims.
