The Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) and its volunteers, through Florida's "Financial Fitness Friday" (FFF) program offer general information for managing personal finances and does not recommend specific financial actions. Any financial advice tailored to individual situations received from a FICPA volunteer, either written or oral, that is received as a result of through a personal FFF consultation is not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used by you or any other person or entity, for the purpose of avoiding tax or penalties that may be imposed under the Internal Revenue Code or any applicable state or local tax law. You should seek the services of a CPA or professional financial advisor outside of the FFF program, as needed, to prepare formal, written tax opinion(s).

Any advice is not intended or written to be used, and cannot be used by you for the purpose of promoting, marketing, or recommending any tax-related matters to another party. You are not prohibited from sharing this advice with third parties. However, the third parties should seek their own advice based on their particular facts and circumstances from an independent tax advisor.

By submitting a financial consultation request to the FICPA, the service recipient agrees to release the FICPA, its volunteer(s) and agents from any future liability claims related to the advice given.
