Educational Foundation Scholarships

4th or 5th year accounting majors attending Florida colleges or universities may be eligible to receive scholarships from the FICPA Educational Foundation.   Students may be eligible for up to $2,000 to help cover the costs of the 4th and 5th years of their accounting track.  Although it is intended that applicants will primarily be full-time students (based on the requirements of the school they are attending), students taking a minimum of six (6) credit hours will be considered.  A full scholarship will be awarded to full-time students and a one-half scholarship will be awarded to part-time students.  To obtain information about the Educational Foundation scholarships, students must talk to their accounting scholarship representative at their respective college or university.

At the April 17, 2006 1040K Race, a $2,000 scholarship was awarded in memory of Lewis Davis, CPA, the first African American CPA in Dade County.  In the fall of 2005, seventy-four FICPA Educational Foundation scholarships totaling $148,000 were awarded. Seventy FICPA Educational Foundation scholarships have been approved for the fall of 2006.
