Florida’s Financial Fitness Friday

Florida’s Financial Fitness Friday is a special day (usually in April and Nov.) for CPAs to give back to the community by providing general financial advice to consumers across Florida for free. The program is planned and conducted by the FICPA’s Financial Literacy Committee.

CPA volunteers from across the state answer basic financial questions and provide an annual financial “fitness” checkup for those who call-in. Many families in Florida and across the country are struggling with financial decisions, failing to prepare for retirement, and gaining high-interest credit card debt in the process.

Florida’s Financial Fitness Friday received an “Award of Excellence” in the 2008 Associations Advance America (AAA) Awards program, a national competition sponsored by the American Society of Association Executives & the Center for Association Leadership in Washington, D.C.

Please help promote this special day to your clients, coworkers, family, and friends - anyone you feel would benefit from this special “checkup” or has general finance questions.

Florida’s Financial Fitness Friday is an outreach event of “360 Degrees of Financial Literacy”, a multifaceted program that equips CPAs to educate the public – from schoolchildren to retirees – about sound financial practices that apply to their particular life stages.
