Florida Institute on Federal Taxation® Conference Recap
The FICPA’s Florida Institute on Federal Taxation® Conference was held November 2-4, 2005 in Orlando, Florida. With over 130 CPAs in attendance, this year’s conference was another success!
Attendees received valuable CPE credit covering a range of topics including 1031 Transactions, The Section 199 "Production Deduction", Use of Limited Liability Entities in Tax Planning and Asset Protection, Divorce Litigation - CPA Role, and The Charitable Trust-The CPA's Swiss Army Tool.
Some featured speakers included Thomas Ochsenschlager who provided an up-to-date presentation on Tax & Legislative matters; Guillermo Fernandez-Quincoces who provided informative and educational presentations on both International Tax and Succession Planning; Eric Schmitz who brought the audience into the “trenches” with his session on IRS Controversies; and Lawrence Wiener who got everyone thinking with his presentation on Retirement Planning.
A committee of dedicated CPAs plan this conference each year and also deserve special recognition. This group works hard to create a dynamic agenda with excellent speakers. Members of the committee include:
