Not-for-Profit Organizations Conference Recap

The FICPA Not-for-Profit Organizations Conference was held in Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale on June 7-8, 2007, providing CPAs with 16 hours of CPE credit.  With a 41% increase in attendance at the Ft. Lauderdale conference and a total attendance of over 270 people, the two conferences were a big success.

• Sue Bunevich- The Audit Committee and Internal Controls

The Not-for-Profit Conference Committee deserves high recognition for their hard work and dedication for planning and coordinating this conference.  Finding quality speakers that are able and willing to travel to both Tampa and Ft. Lauderdale can be very challenging.  Also, the committee works very hard to develop an agenda that covers current and upcoming topics CPAs need to know to successfully work in the Not-for-Profit area.

Be sure and mark your calendars for next year’s conference, also being held in Tampa in Ft. Lauderdale, on June 11-12, 2008.  More details will be posted on the FICPA website when available.
