USF Accounting Conference

The FICPA University of South Florida Accounting Conference was held October 18-19, 2007 at the A La Carte Event Pavilion. Attendee feedback has been very positive:

The conference kicked off with a few opening remarks from the new director of the School of Accountancy, Dr. Stephanie Bryant. A 7-year veteran of USF, Dr. Bryant replaces former director Robert Keith, who resigned in August 2006.

Immediately following the opening remarks, the conference program launched with 2 days packed full of information on Fraud, SEC, PCOAB and more, including:

With nearly 150 Tampa area professionals in attendance, the conference was also host to USF Faculty and Students over the course of the two days. In addition, more than 25% of attendees were USF Alumni.

Alumni or not, everyone was excited at the chance to win the USF Football signed by Coach Leavit. With USF ranked number 2 in the nation on Thursday, the football was a hot commodity! Congratulations to the lucky winner, attendee Charles Landorf of Stylemark, Inc. in Ormond Beach.
