BOA Removes Advertising Asterisk (*) Requirement
The Florida Board of Accountancy (BOA) amended its “Advertising” Rule 61H1-24.001(1)(g), Florida Administrative Code, removing the requirement that any advertisement of a bona fide formal recognition or attainment in conjunction with the CPA licensure designation must contain an asterisk (*) to tie the CPA designation being regulated by the State of Florida.

FASB Releases the FASB Accounting Standards Codification Project
The Codification organizes thousands of U.S. GAAP pronouncements under approximately 90 accounting topics. The FASB is exposing the Codification for a verification period of a year. During that time, interested parties may use the online Codification Research System free of charge to research accounting issues and provide feedback. Register to review the Codification here.
