Bethany Carr

Bethany is a senior with the firm of Purvis, Gray and Company, LLP in Sarasota. She provides audit and taxation services to clients in small business, governmental and not-for-profit areas. Bethany earned her BBA in Accounting and completed her fifth year requirements from the University of North Florida. She earned her CPA certification in November 2003.

Bethany is active both in the FICPA and her community. This is her third year serving on the Young CPA’s committee. She is also a Trustee for the FICPA Educational Foundation which provides more than $150,000 in scholarships annually to accounting majors. As a trustee, Bethany is involved in planning the annual Educational Foundation Golf Tournament held in Orlando each year. She is a 2007 graduate of Leadership Sarasota and a member of the Sarasota Young Professionals Group.

Bethany enjoys traveling, watching Gator games and spending time with her husband and their two “fur children” (a dog and cat).
