Stewart appelrouth and Edward S. Sachs Receive EXCLUSIVE CERTIFIED IN FINANCIAL FORENSICS CREDENTIAL AS FINANCIAL FORENSICS EXPERT

Miami, Florida, September 3, 2008 Stewart L. Appelrouth and Edward S. Sachs, partners at the accounting firm of Appelrouth, Farah & Co., were recently awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) Credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The CFF Credential, established in 2008 by the AICPA, is granted to qualified CPAs with extensive professional experience in financial forensics.

Mr. Appelrouth and Mr. Sachs met the requirements to earn the CFF credential, which include demonstrating significant business experience in the area of financial forensics as well as completing a minimum of 75 hours of life-long learning and education activities in the area of financial forensics. The CFF Credential is granted exclusively to CPAs who are members in good standing of the AICPA which binds them to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.  CPAs who have earned the CFF Credential must be recertified every three years to maintain their credential.

Edward S.   SachsAbout:  Edward S. Sachs has spent over eighteen years as a forensic accountant building an expertise in litigation and valuation matters. After four years with a national accounting firm and four and a half years with a large local firm, he spent ten years in solo practice assisting attorneys and clients throughout South Florida in the analysis and presentation of complex accounting and valuation matters in the litigation arena.  Mr. Sachs joined the firm in 1999 as Director of the Litigation Services Department supervising all business valuations, forensic accounting and ad valorem tax appeals handled by the firm. He serves as an expert witness in Federal and Circuit Courts and as a forensic accounting and valuation consultant to legal counsel.  Mr. Sachs received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Florida.
