Michael is a Partner with Daszkal Bolton LLP. He has primary responsibility for the firm’s litigation services and consulting practice, as well as its internal human resource and information technology systems. Michael has practiced public accounting in South Florida since graduation from George Washington University in 1974. Prior to joining the firm in 1996, he worked for two small firms and established his solo practice in 1978.
Michael is a member of the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, Institute of Business Appraisers, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, an associate member of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, Society for Human Resource Management and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Accounting and Certified Forensic Consultant of the American College of Forensic Examiners International. He is a longtime member of the Steering Committee of the Valuation, Forensic Accounting, and Litigation Services Section of the FICPA and served as Chairman of the Committee for Valuation and Litigation Services. Michael also serves on the ITEC Editorial Advisory Board, an information technology group of the AICPA. In 2001, Michael was one of the first CPAs to achieve the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) designation offered by the AICPA and assisted in the design of the first national examination for the designation. Michael is also Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), granted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He also served on the 2001 Top Technologies Task Force of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Michael has received the FICPA’s Outstanding Discussion Leader award several times and was appointed to the FICPA’s CPE Committee. He was listed in the South Florida Legal Guide 2009 as a Top CPA in Litigation Support.
Since 1974, Michael has provided litigation services in matters including family and matrimonial matters, stockholder actions, fraud detection, criminal and civil tax matters, breach of fiduciary duty, business valuations and accountant liability. Michael also has extensive practice experience in accounting and taxation for
corporations, partnerships, retirement plans, fiduciaries and individuals. Additionally, he has provided management consulting and training services to large and small companies and professional practices. Michael has testified in both deposition and trial as an expert in the Circuit Courts of Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.
Michael spent five years as a Facilitator in the Professional Training Department at Johnson & Wales University, a continuing professional education sponsor for Florida CPAs, and has authored articles about litigation services and practice management that have been published in national and state professional journals. He is also active in community service organizations and is a Partner in Education at Western, Marjory Stoneman Douglas and Dillard High Schools and Hallandale Adult Community Center in Broward County. For the past eighteen years, Michael has facilitated an award-winning seminar, Ethical Decision Making in the Workplace and Society, for Broward County high schools. In addition, he serves as a certified instructor of the FICPA’s Ethics Course, providing presentations to various groups, including Certified Public Accountants throughout the state and the Florida Association of Court Clerks. Michael has been appointed to a multi-year term on the Education Advisory Committee of the Florida Board of Accountancy.

- Shareholder of a CPA firm,
- CFO for a national unified communications company,
- Manager of an income tax software development firm, and
- Independent consultant to leading accounting and tax software developers
Paul joined SouthTech in 2002. The firm is focused on providing quality infrastructure services and business solutions to Florida based companies. Since he joined SouthTech, the company has been averaging over 20% growth annually.
Mr. Hoffman authored and published a series of software selection and comparison books titled, “Accountants' Tools”. He was formerly a columnist and technical editor for The CPA Software News (now known as The CPA Technology Advisor)..
Mr. Hoffman is a Florida Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). He speaks frequently at Florida Institute of CPA conferences and meetings.
Currently, he is on various local boards and technical committees. Most importantly, he is married to a wonderful wife, Marie and has two children, Ashley (18) and Kyle (16).

David Bergstein, CPA, CITP is Director of Strategic Relationships for CCH, a Wolters Kluwer business . David has been in the Tax and Accounting industry for many years and has been a practicing accountant since 1966. While at the IRS he held various positions: Agent, Trainer, Speaker and Technical Chief. He received his CPA and a master’s in Taxation from Long Island University’s CW Post College. He was an accounting professor at Suffolk County Community College in New York for over 15 years. In addition, he has served on the AICPA Top Tech Technology Team and presently he is a member of the FICPA Business Technology Section and the Financial Literacy Committee, and is an AICPA CPA Ambassador. He is well-known as a speaker and trainer in the field of utilizing new technology to improve the efficiency of operations in tax, accounting, practice management and general operations of the accounting process.
