Our Mission
To assist Section members developing their business acumen, improving their response to business challenges and becoming more technically proficient in accounting and tax matters related to Florida’s industry by sharing valuable and timely information. Our primary goals are:

Providing opportunities for member-to-member sharing of knowledge through the Listserv and the Section Web site.

Promoting professional development through the CPAs in Industry Conference and in person roundtables throughout the state.

Get involved in your online community! Post a question or comment on the Florida Industry Listserv, volunteer to help put together a roundtable in your area, or work on adding valuable practice aids to the Florida Industry Web site. Featured Member: Douglas W. "Doug" Marcille
Doug has been the Chief Executive Officer, President and a Director of U.S. Gas & Electric., Inc. (USG&E), since September 2004. From January 2003 to September 2004, he was the Chief Financial Officer of USG&E. From 2001 to 2003, Doug was Chief Financial Officer, Treasurer and General Counsel of Computer Products & Services, Inc., a privately owned $30 million computer parts logistics company. Doug has also has experience with his own business consulting practice as well as an International Tax Senior Manager with Ernst and Young and a Tax Manager with Arthur Andersen. Doug received a B.S.B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Rhode Island in Accounting and Finance, and a Juris Doctor from Boston University.
