Deborah A. “Debbie” Goode is the Engagement Director at Hoyman, Dobson & Company, PA, located in Melbourne. She works with auditing, with an emphasis in governmental entities, she also performs internal control studies and make recommendations, and performs government cost accounting and forensic examinations.

Debbie has been employed with Hoyman, Dobson & Company, PA since 1989, and has worked as an Audit Manager, later becoming the Audit Director and finally the Engagement Director. Before joining the Hoyman, Dobson & Company, PA firm, Debbie worked for Coopers & Lybran for 4 years in their Audit Department.

Debbie is a member of several organizations, including: The Florida Governmental Finance Officer’s Association, the Space Coast Government Finance Officer’s Association, the Women’s Business Center at Florida Tech, where she is a Board member, the Economic Development Commission, where Debbie serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee. Debbie is also a member of the Brevard Small Business Assistance Council where she is currently the Vice Chair and the Past Chair and Treasurer/Secretary. She is also a member of the CPAmerica, Accounting and Auditing Committee where Debbie was a Past Chair and she serves on the Diplomate of the American College of Forensic Examiners.

Debbie earned a degree in Accounting from the Florida State University in 1984 and received her Masters in Accounting in 1986 from the University of South Florida.

Debbie has been a member of the FICPA since 1987 and of the State and Local Government Section since 2004.
