2007 Annual Golf Classic Recap

On Friday, June 1, the FICPA Educational Foundation hosted the Annual Golf Classic at The Legends at Orange Lake in Kissimmee. The tournament had a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and nearly 80 golfers participated in this year’s event.

It was a beautiful day for golf. In addition to the great weather at the 18-hole course designed by golf legend Arnold Palmer, the tournament also hosted several contests, including a “$10,000 hole-in-one contest” and a “putting” contest hosted by Hooters. Players enjoyed refreshments and a lunch buffet while visiting with each other during the awards banquet. During the banquet, Chairman John Wilkinson thanked all the sponsors and players for raising over $25,000 in scholarship funds, and gave special thanks to Eagle Sponsors EGP, Inc., KPMG LLP, and Risk Avoidance Managers/Camico Mutual Insurance for their continued support.
