Organizational Teams
The FICPA is made up of eight different staff-driven departments, each of which is charged with accomplishing a key component of the benefits and services we provide to our members. These departments consist of:
Governmental Affairs: Works with state and federal legislators and government agencies to advocate issues of importance to the accounting profession.
Communications: Informs key constituencies of the diverse professional services provided by CPAs, enhances the image of the profession, and provides the members with useful information.
Member Service Center: Dedicated to helping members find the answers to questions regarding the myriad of professional and technical standards and regulations that are an integral part of the CPA profession, as well as provide support for the services and benefits that the FICPA offers.
Continuing Professional Development: Formed to provide a broad spectrum of high-quality educational programs to enhance the level of professional competence for CPAs.
Membership and Chapter Activities: Dedicated to member relations and chapter activities, coordinates programs designed to help CPAs continue their professional education, expand their networks and share experiences with peers.
Peer Review: Administers a national program designed to be educational for firms in public accounting to further enhance the quality in their performance of accounting and auditing work and allows for firms to communicate with their fellow peers on the objectives of the accounting profession.
Online Communities (called Sections): Serves as a premier resource for Florida CPAs that offer knowledge, networking, leadership and advocacy to a diverse membership through member-driven, online communities targeted to a specific area of practice.
Executive Business: Maintains liaisons with the FICPA leadership and other professional associations to advance the interests of the membership and the accounting profession.
